Soft lighting and a gentle murmur of conversations set a calm backdrop that enhances the dining experience at Arigato Tarifa. The blend of traditional Japanese decor with subtle modern touches reflects a careful balance that frames the evening nicely, without feeling overdone. While the space is not large, it manages to avoid cramped boundaries, allowing for a relaxed atmosphere that invites diners to savor each bite. Photos taken here often capture the harmony between the setting and the dishes, elements that reviewers praise when describing the visual appeal of the restaurant.
The variety on the Arigato Tarifa menu leans heavily into authentic sushi preparations, but there is a willingness to experiment with texture and flavor, offering intriguing combinations that both fresh and seasoned palates can appreciate. One standout includes a roll where the crispness of tempura meets a creamy layer of avocado, complemented by pleasantly tart notes that balance richness without overpowering. The pacing between dishes feels attentive, though some might find the pace slightly uneven on busier nights. Reviews often reflect on how the ingredients maintain a consistent freshness, a crucial factor for any sushi restaurant, even if some expect a broader selection of non-sushi options.
The interaction with staff tends to be friendly and helpful, contributing to a comfortable experience without crossing into overly formal territory. While the menu navigational assistance comes naturally, the subtle nuances in service leave room for a more personalized touch in some instances. Value-wise, the offerings align reasonably with the quality on the plate and the ambiance, although a few diners mention price sensitivity depending on dish choice. Overall, the Arigato Tarifa restaurant manages to cultivate a balance between an enjoyable meal and a setting that feels thoughtfully curated, aspects that regularly emerge in consumer feedback and online restaurant reviews.

Hola! We were walking and saw Arigato on Friday night but it was full and the waitress said that it would be an hour wait due to reservations so we decided to come back the next day. We went early (20 minutes after they opened) and it was already getting full. The food was good. Not the best sushi I’ve ever had but it was good just not for the price. The best thing I had in my opinion was the Tuna Brioche. Also, half the menu wasn’t available to order which highly limited the options to choose from. The service suffered because there is only one waitress and it gets very busy. Luckily if you are at the bar the chefs are willing to help out and take your order. The atmosphere is pretty cool. On Saturday they had a Disk Jockey playing house music. The lights and vibe makes me understand why people like to go here. All in all it was a cool experience and would recommend. The only thing is if I want to get great sushi it would not be my first choice.
Arigato Sushi is a gem in the heart of Tarifa. The food is top-notch. Fresh, flavorful, and clearly prepared with care. The vibe is relaxed and inviting. The menu is impressive, offering a great mix of classic sushi and creative rolls. Highly recommended.
Very interesting small place, but the food far exceeded my expectations. The sashimi, Makis and salads are a par with some of best sushi restaurants in major cities. Anything with Tuna obviously was a stand out, specially the crispy rice with tuna tartare. I really don’t expect sushi this good from a small place in Tarifa, but will definitely be back.
